The inner part of the helmet, namely the possibility to adjust the dimensions of the helmet from the inside, is made of very poor quality plastic, poorly and weakly attached to the helmet itself. My 7 year old got it for Christmas in December 2019, didn't use it until March 2020 and after a couple of weeks the plastic rails holding the adjustment strap in place on the side of the helmet came loose and fell off. rendering the helmet useless and totally unsafe. It wasn't a very expensive helmet, but I expected more than a few weeks of light and limited use before it broke and became unusable. I would highly recommend paying the extra $10 for a higher quality helmet.
