Wow! I spent half the time I would normally file my heels with it than with any other coarse file or pumice stone. I've always had very thick calluses on my heels and balls of my feet and the cheese grater tool does a great job with it! I've used the callus remover gel with the tools but I still think the grater works better than anything I've ever used. The grater is fine enough that you can easily control how hard your callus is being filed, but it still works much better and faster than a pumice stone. Thinner files are also good at smoothing out dirt. Caution: The grater does an excellent job of removing thick calluses, but works like a cheese grater, picking up dead skin from the opposite side. I put my feet in the tub to flush the grater down the drain. I had to gently run my fingers over the grater blades to remove the excess skin flakes that hadn't come off the running water. Not a doctor, but caution and discretion should be exercised when using a grater. If your skin is pink and smooth, I wouldn't recommend filing any further. A bit of callus is actually good for your feet 😊
