This is a comparison test with the Fellow Stagg ECG kettle. I've had both and if you're arguing between the two, here's a comparison.+Style: The teapots are very similar. Both are comfortable to hold and use to pour coffee. The base is completely different. The ECG base is much more minimalistic and beautiful. The design and display of the ECG is very intelligent. Personally, I don't like the ECG display because it has a very low resolution and doesn't match the otherwise clean design. The display also loads the logo screen before you can set the temperature. + Boiling speed: ECG faster. We're talking 2 minutes versus less than 4 minutes for 4 cups of water. That extra two minutes doesn't affect my brewing routine, so oval ware works for me. + Heat retention: The oval utensil cooker itself retains heat better than ECG. temperature is reached. ECG has no notifications.+Timer: Pretty much the same.+Pouring: ECG controls slow pouring a bit better, otherwise the same. . The EKG is very calm. The oval ware lid is also too tight, but can be adjusted with pliers. I left the ovalware because the heat retention, notification sound/light, and price better suited my needs. The reason for the 4/5 stars is a false low water bug. It's annoying and I can't say exactly why. Happens about once a week. I'm pretty sure it's a manufacturing issue and possibly air bubbles.
