I needed to connect 3 webcams to a computer. The cameras are mounted on the ceiling with a plenum above. This device does an excellent job of bringing cameras to the computer. However, I had to regularly turn off the remote device when it and the computer stopped communicating. This can be a problem if the device is placed in an awkward position, as in my situation. I decided to turn the power on and off by placing a remote wireless power switch (like those commonly used with Christmas lights) with the device in the vent room. If the connection is lost, I can turn off the power without having to climb the stairs. All in all, this device solved a real problem for a very important conference room project. We've only used it for 6-7 hours but it seems reliable and professional. designed and built.
