I love the size and convenience of this blender and I really like glass bottles. However, it is quite difficult to get the blender to work with the push of a button. It acts like it doesn't want to start at all. The light comes on but nothing happens until I play with it for a while, which is a little disappointing. When I first used it, I overstuffed it and made it too thick. So I dumped some of the contents, added some more liquid and tried again but it still wouldn't start. I tilt it up and down as suggested, but it still takes a while and a lot of power button presses before it starts. If it started immediately and ran continuously, it would be ideal.
