I have an old set of Midland G-11 radios and they still work great. I wanted something that could be worn in a way that was unobtrusive and comfortable to wear for long periods of time. I ordered them and they are really very good headphones. The in-ear acoustic tube is so comfortable I forgot I was wearing it. I was blown away by how good the sound is and it's actually a lot better than through the speakers. The controls work great, allowing you to use the PTT button in manual mode or wear it on your collar. Plugging a headset into the G-11 makes volume/on/off control difficult, but this situation works. . I'm a big, tall guy and the remote/mic can be slipped over my sleeve and clipped to my cuff. My shirts have 36 inch sleeves and cuffs (or longer on some shirts) and the wire is too short to comfortably function in my sleeve. I need to connect the cables if I want to use it in this mode. VOX works, but whoever presses and releases the button takes control of VOX until another radio presses the button. I prefer to use PTT mode only and they work well. I've seen some complaints about plastic collar clips, but mine are durable metal and work great. All in all, I can only warmly recommend them to you. The voice transmission is loud and clear as well as discreet. You can even hear whispered messages clearly, which was not possible with wireless speakers. You can also set the volume controls to a much lower level than ever before. They are very comfortable and a good buy for the price. I still gave them 5 stars even though the cables are short for me as the other benefits are excellent.
