All I can say is that for the price this speaker exceeded all my expectations. I liked them so much I bought a second one and if my yard was big enough I would buy another pair! I really like how they are connected and can be played from the same music source. Different lighting options are good depending on the mood you want to create. I can change colors to the beat of the music to create a more vibrant setting, I can set a solid color for a more intimate setting, or turn off the lights altogether when I'm around the campfire at night. night and all I want to see is the flames of fire. The first one we placed next to the pool set it up loud enough to cover most of the yard. The sound quality was really good, even at high volume, but so loud that guests in the backyard couldn't speak. We loved the build quality and the sound so much that we bought a second one to hang on our backyard fire. This gave us the ability to set a reasonable volume in each area rather than having a system that plays very loud to cover all areas. The sound quality is way better than I ever expected. I usually buy more expensive JBL, QSC, Bose and other products, but in this case I just wanted to use a cheaper backlit speaker for my kid's birthday party. I was so amazed by the sound quality that I now use it all the time in my garden. Like I said, I liked it so much I bought a second one. They're waterproof, so dew or rain won't be a problem, and if something does happen, they're so economical they're easy to swap out. I don't leave them outside year round but I forgot to bring them inside for a night or two, left them out in the rain and they continue to work great! The battery life is as advertised and after almost a year of use they are still working.
