When I first used this device I didn't have a suitable gel polish so my nails didn't dry, but then I ordered gelish polish and tried again. This development is great. Polishing instructions say 30-60 seconds but I've found I need to do at least 2/60 seconds and sometimes 30 seconds more, but that's about it. The nail polish is cured and completely dry. No more waiting hours for 2 or 3 layers of nail polish to dry. I can finish my nails in under an hour instead of an hour or more depending on how many coats I need to apply. Just be careful not to look directly into the light. This can damage your eyes. The light turns on as soon as you place your hand or foot under it and turns off after the time has elapsed. I bought a second one as a Christmas present for my daughter.
