Actual quality device

Having never used a charging dock with any of my phones I first tried a few cheaper wireless charging docks before realizing you get what you pay for. So I finally broke down and peeled for it. This is a quality device. The base has weight - enough to keep it on the table when I pick up the phone. While it's not adjustable, it's not necessary because it's set to my ideal height and angle, and therefore there are no moving parts to fiddle with and loosen over time. I love that it has a dedicated power adapter, no batteries or USB, and charges my iPhone 12 perfectly with an Apple silicone case at full Magsafe performance - something I've learned other devices claim but don't do . Magsafe works just as well with my AirPods Pro. I don't have an Apple Watch and don't plan on getting one, so this device charges everything I need while staying minimal and compact, which I also like because it takes up very little desk space. The fact that it doesn't have LEDs or lights of any kind is a huge plus for me. To the extent that a phone charger can showcase an elegant, thoughtful design and look clean and attractive, I think it is. I'm not one to obsess over design cues and such, but I do acknowledge and condone what they've done here. I actually think it's quite nice for what it is. I was really surprised at the difference it makes when the phone is positioned like this during my workday. It seems like a small thing, but for me it has more positive value than I expected. The only downside to this Belkin is the price. Too bad a device of this quality costs $100. I've opted for a cheaper pad for my bedside table, but for basic use on my desk I'll part with the money on a Belkin because it's a great quality. EDIT: As for the LEDs, there is a tiny LED on the front of the base that shows the charging status of the AirPods. It appears to light up briefly when AirPods are placed there, then turns off. I didn't even notice the light, and that doesn't change my general opinion of liking the device's lack of flashy lights and other complexities.
