Larger rugs are not stored properly

Bought based on 1200 4 1/2 star reviews. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. Maybe the problem is the size. I ordered 7' X 10' and it was folded in half and rolled, rubber sides back to back. Apparently they were stored this way for a very long time in a very hot climate/warehouse because the rubber sides were fully bonded and had to be pulled apart. You could hear the cracking sound and see the rubber pad starting to break. Part of the rubber grip came off when I tore the two sides. Clutch and rubber are clearly compromised which is bringing this back.
