Review on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ ACDelco 214-2147 OE Service Vapor Canister Purge Valve: Superior Performance for Efficient Emission Control by Chris Palmer

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits perfectly and saved me hundreds. Exact OEM replacement.

I spent 17.00 on a code reader, bought this part and a new gas cap for my 2006 Chevy Impala which was suffering from what most people do at plus 60k miles when the check engine light comes on, while your car's computer keeps working. Specification to check your loose gas cap. Reading on the code reader showed a major vacuum leak and indeed replacing this part and the gas cap fixed the problem, turned off the check engine light and works great. I've seen people spend up to $1,000 online to solve this simple, annoying problem, and when I entered it to investigate the problem, it had over 1 million views. If you have a GM with a check engine light on that has over 60,000 miles on the odometer and a gauge that keeps telling you your gas cap needs tightening, replace this part, along with the gas cap, with OEM AC Delco Parts and you're good to go...this pesky problem. My existing solenoid wire clamp fits perfectly into this purge control solenoid which is located under the rear panel just next to the gas filler neck. Removing a screw loosens the bracket holding it in place. Remove the hose that goes to the old block and reattach it to that, put it back in the bracket, put it back in place and put the screw back on to hold the whole block in place keep. Along with a two-second fuel cap change, your "large or fatal vacuum system leak" reported on the on-board computer is fixed! And the check engine light goes out.
