At first I had problems with this machine; The general disappointment was due to incomplete/inaccurate instructions and unintuitive troubleshooting. The only way to program and use this device is to set it up with your smartphone or tablet. By default, the app I downloaded was not communicating with the Brook device. This would result in bluetooth connection errors which are mostly buggy stating things like my bluetooth was off when obviously it wasn't, or stuck on the 'Load Configuration' screen indefinitely. I decided I needed to update the firmware, so I did. The app still couldn't connect so I checked out the FAQ on the website which told me to delete the old app instance and download it again. I did this and it still didn't work so I tried again and got the same results. I tried restarting the device and my phone, same result. Before giving up I tried uninstalling the app, restarting, reinstalling the app, restarting and then trying. Here's what worked. After that, the device works perfectly for the most part. From time to time the device will cause my on-screen character to move down/south (down on the left stick) but all I have to do is move up and that will stop the behavior. It happens to me maybe once every few days, so just a minor hiccup. Deducting a star mainly for initial frustration and then for the occasional glitches. In general, I like the device, I will buy more.
