Surprised by the high sound quality. Subtle bass, the speakers are directed in both directions to fill the room with sound. We've used it outdoors in Canyon Lake, Texas, on a pontoon boat, around a campfire, and finally (water test) canoeing down the Guadalupe River. Bluetooth range is surprisingly poor. Wore the phone only 5-6 feet away before it started disconnecting. However, the durability and water resistance make up for it. I can solve the range problem. Also, on a canoe, I accidentally dove about halfway into the excess water in the boat and just shook it off. No problem. I plan on taking this in my work backpack and expect it to withstand some abuse when travelling. And for $43 I'm willing to take some risk. I attached a large D ring to it to attach to a bag or other things.
