First of all, these bulbs are quite bright and the standard white light filter helps brighten the environment when shooting indoors. It fulfills this function relatively well. So why the bad rating? Here is my funny story about this product. A few weeks ago I ordered a set of 2 from Revain. When the package arrived, the outer packaging was fine but the inner box was damaged. I opened the inner box and it contained only one of the two lights. I took the flashlight out of the box very carefully. The light immediately went out on the stand. I contacted Revain and they sent a replacement. The replacement came two days later. The outer and inner packaging looked normal. When I opened the inner packaging, there were two indicators inside. Guess what? Both broke in exactly the same way before I even took them out of the box. I considered returning them for a refund but decided to just tape the headlights onto the stands and keep them as I figured there would be a good chance of getting more broken ones if I got them again Exchange or order another similar product. Looking at other reviews there is a serious issue with light breaking off the stands and it's easy to see why. They are extremely thin and poorly assembled, the stem material is not strong enough to support the weight of the light assembly although it is not heavy. In the end I would say don't buy it. . They work well, but your chances of getting a set that arrives in good condition and stays that way are very slim, not only in my experience but also in other reviews here. Not happy but not worth the hassle to replace another time.
