Review on Zeiss Normal Planar Manual Cameras by Hwang Sunshin ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The quality is at the level, I am satisfied with everything.

Recently purchased. Used a couple of times in the studio and outdoors with the Canon EOS 7D. I liked it much more than my native Canon EF 50 / 1,4. Perfectly captures the picture of natural light. Excellent color reproduction, contrast and micro-contrast. Bokeh and drawing are top notch. No complaints about sharpness - just what you need! The workmanship is at such a high level that the Canon 24-105 f/4 l feels slightly plastic after it). When you work with him, the feeling of joy and satisfaction does not leave you. Focusing, though manual, but you get used to it quickly enough. In addition, it is not difficult to aim very accurately exactly where you need it. If the financial issue is not the main one - I recommend

Pros
  • Workmanship Optical properties: color rendition, contrast, sharpness, absence of visible XA, transmission of light pattern, bokeh.
Cons
  • There is no autofocus - but over time you realize that this is rather not a disadvantage, but a virtue. Sets up for thoughtful work.
