Review on 🌱 Stainless Hanging Kitchen Outdoor Ceiling: The Perfect Addition for a Stylish and Functional Outdoor Cooking Space by Lamar Marshall

Very handy on universal hook

These brackets are exactly what I've been looking for since we moved into this apartment. I don't know why it's so hard to find hooks like this (which mount to the wall or ceiling, which use two screws with dowels and have a large internal diameter with a large hole) when they are so damn useful. They fit perfectly with Racka curtain rods, but I think that's the maximum size. The metal is thick and stiff, so without tools you can't bend it to enlarge it. I like using curtains as dividers and closing some of the doors in the house, but I want them to be very unobtrusive. Cornice brackets almost always stick out at least a few inches, which causes problems, plus they cost a fortune and you often can't buy them separately from the curtain rod. These hooks are very low profile and affordable enough to use around the home. When used to keep the curtains almost flat against the wall, they prevent light and air from escaping and you can't see the edges on the side when you walk past them. This means you can place the hooks closer to a window or door, which is useful if you have a small living space. If you want them a little further from the wall, you can screw them to a varnished block of wood or other material and attach them to the wall. Hooks are great for attaching curtains or blackout panels under a traditional single rod/mount. You can also use them to hang curtains in a closet or window on the ceiling just outside the door/window as long as the curtains are long enough to reach the ceiling. This is particularly useful when there is not enough space on the sides of the window/door to fit a bracket, or when the location where you wish to hang the curtain does not have two flat surfaces that match a traditional curtain rod installation . I've used them on the ceiling to hang a green screen/cloth behind my workspace so I don't have to worry about what's visible behind me when I'm working from home. The hooks are strong and perfect for the job. I don't like the supplied anchors so I used my own. I haven't used the metal caps yet because the screws aren't visible and I don't want to lose slack for the curtain rods. I can finally paint the hooks and screw heads white to match the ceiling. FYI, if you mount them on the wall to hold the cornice, the cornice won't necessarily roll into the hook area. You can just ignore this or set the hook to tilt forward. Hooks hold all sorts of things, not just curtains. I've compromised with the crude coat and towel hooks for the bathroom and hallway of my apartment, but they would be great for coats, linens, towels, etc. Make a small phone stand on the wall (I used museum putty to make it non-slip make). Because the hooks are bent so much, they hold things better than many specialty coat hooks. If you have a small desk fan with a curved metal base, you can use these hooks to hang the fan on the wall while holding the rear pole to the base. We made it where there is no room for a floor or table fan. I'm telling you these hooks are so useful lol. I have used marine J-Hooks in the past, but they are either too heavy and expensive for most applications, or their diameter is too small. This product is the perfect middle ground, solid yet unobtrusive and not like a spares box. I am very happy with them. I'm glad there are so many of these in the set as I have many uses for them. So far we've used traditional cup hooks, but they tend to curl or fall out. If you use them in wood or drywall with anchors they will stay in place! I will buy more.

Pros
  • Sturdy enough: attaches firmly to the wall with two screws, making it heavy for hanging items. It can be used on ceiling walls and solid wood and can support up to 10-18 pounds.
Cons
  • Older model
