They deserve three stars because they get the job done. If I was still in college I would be fine. However, I'm a bit of a cloth snob now. I sent them back because they also had absolutely no stretch. We just received the purple mattress and we are in love with it. However, the mattress needs an elastic sheet to function optimally. The company recommends jersey or microfiber cloths for this. I wasn't sure microfiber would definitely fit and this is definitely one of those that doesn't work. I didn't wash them as I knew I had to try them on before I could use them. Since they didn't work for me due to my own needs, I didn't think they needed more than a few stars to be paired. I have a set of jersey linens and we love them.
