I have purchased this particular gate 3 times and the first 2 were higher than the last. I can't blame anyone but myself as it states several times that the height is 36 inches, which is accurate. The first 2 were 41 inches and when I went "buy again" this time I was disappointed to see that it was shorter than the other 2. The first lasted a couple of years before breaking (just the door latch mechanism) - then I replaced it with the same height less than a year ago. We were preparing to block off another area that needed a large extension (which I ordered direct from Regalo) so I ordered again on the same product page thinking it would be the same 41" tall gate and now am i disappointed as now i need to move the gate to make it work. We had to screw the cups to the wall so the kid couldn't just push them by themselves with pressure - which makes a huge difference. But now we have to move them when we feel the need to continue using them to adapt this shorter gate than the other 2. It looks like the 41" gate has been discontinued as their website doesn't show a 41" gate either - and they just make this 36" gate instead. BUT they don't offer expansions for 36" - only 30" and 41"". Not Revain's fault but the company themselves for being on their side. So, the point of this review: don't expect to see others /additional extensions for that particular gate height - at least not to date. Even directly through Regalo.I haven't opened the box yet to check the booklet that came with it for part numbers but I have ordered an extension from them which dates to the 1166 would fit - it's one of those models - and it won't work.
