Review on Airaid 202 112 1 AIRAID Intake System by Jose Perry

Installed on a 2001 GMC 2500 HD with an 8.1 engine. Due to the nature of the truck, mileage is not a big deal. However, the reduction from 11.5mpg to 9.5mpg is significant. If you live in Oregon you can't fill up your own gas, so there will be a difference. But I've always pulled over 11 mpg with this truck and 9 when towing a boat. I've noticed that the throttle response is better, but I'm still a very conservative driver. I will also mention that the truck has new spark plugs and oil and I use HT Toyo tires for less drag. I've always maintained the above mileage, which is why I attribute the drop to AirAid. I have yet to test the freeway miles where I get a consistently low 13mpg and up to 14 seconds. I will update.
