"I've had this camera system for about 2 months now along with another wired dual camera system. I usually take this car (Crosstrek) around town for a couple of 5 hour round trips every few days. It was very helpful to be able to see the cars approaching me in the passing lanes of the 2-4 lane freeway, as well as the slower cars on the right as I passed them when I lost sight of an overtaking car on the Monitor, it'll already be right next to me, so I'll never lose sight of a passing car through my car's blind spots. The early appearance of a passing car is a great addition to knowing when it's safe to change lanes , and beyond Just look over your shoulder out of habit. Spoiler, less prone to glare from lower angles of the sun rear camera, but for other surveillance it would be better if the LEDs were infrared. Wireless transmission from outside the tailgate of my Crosstrek to a suction cup mounted monitor/receiver on the windshield has never been a problem for me. The monitor seems to stay in color mode in the dark. I didn't adjust the monitor's brightness level and didn't have to touch it. The photos show the smaller monitor. The other is a 7 inch monster.
