Good product but more detailed instructions needed

Works well. Need a better guide on how to properly align the parts. I attached the long piece to the door with screws and then attached the smaller piece to the longer one with a magnet. Then I opened the door so that a small piece touched the wall. Then I drew a circle around the smaller piece on the wall. This allowed me to drill a hole and attach a smaller piece.
