Wow, what can I say? Everyone thinks it's embroidery, but it's not! They are printed but also look real up close. Lace edges also feel comfortable. We chose these tablecloths (one of the round ones, one of the rectangular ones) because we wanted something pretty for our dining room, but we also have small children so the traditional linens are more difficult to maintain. . I love how I can just toss it in the washing machine and let go. I make sure to tumble dry on low heat and wash on "delicate" just to care for the lace trim as I saw a review that washing can cause tangling. So far we haven't had it. Overall very happy with these tablecloths. A very good choice for those who want a little elegance when there are children in the house. ;)
