Review on Unleash Your Golf Potential with adidas Men's Adipower Boost Golf Shoe by John Kennedy

I'll admit that I'm an Adidas fan, so it's no surprise that I thought these shoes were very nice. Do I really need nice $100 golf shoes to roam the woods looking for stray discs? No, of course not, but at least I can take comfort in the fact that I looked good over the ball before trying to hit the ball and failing miserably. Anyway, for those of you who are more concerned with functionality, I'm happy to report that these shoes are also very comfortable and I've recently worn them 36 holes with no foot problems. I contradict that statement by saying that I am new to golf and this is my first pair of real golf shoes so I don't have a large frame of reference for comfort but I don't think you will be disappointed either. So why only three stars? Well I bought these shoes just before leaving for a week long vacation where I was planning to play a few rounds. At some point during my first round in these shoes, I looked down and noticed that the bottom "eyelid" on the left shoe was broken. I put the word eyelid in quotes because if you look closely at the pictures you will see that this is not your usual eyelid. It's hard to explain, but basically it's a small tab sewn (or rather glued) onto itself, into which the lace is threaded. The broken eyelid didn't really negatively impact the functionality of the shoe, but I figured for $100 they should work better than a round. I came back later that day and took a closer look at the pictures and really wished Adidas would just go for a more traditional eyelid like so many of their other shoes. Anyway, after requesting a return and sending the shoes, I was able to get a refund and quickly buy a new pair of the same shoes. I am hoping this is a one off issue and I just got a "lemon" as I really love the shoes and even my wife who is very supportive of my golfing success although not pleased with the amount of money I am paying for it. it had to admit they were sharp looking shoes. I think time will tell. For better or for worse I will update this review once I have more time for new shoes. The problem I had with my first pair didn't reoccur. So I tend to think I just got "lemon". I've upped my rating to four stars as I still find these shoes very comfortable and look great. With two young kids I can't play as much as I would like so YMMV when it comes to how long they last but I don't expect them to give up on me any time soon. In all likelihood I will most likely buy a new pair or something just to replace them before they need to be replaced due to wear and tear. Or, more likely, I'll wear them for a long time and spend the money on something else golf-related.
