I don't even remember it being there. The fit is perfect and I was a little concerned that it might give a glimpse or, if visible, cheapen my new little lover's sophisticated look, but none of that and apart from scratching nail polish I don't have to worry about it. I've tried terribly to center it by lifting it at least 3 times and yet 3 months later I'm still using the #1 of 3 that comes in the pack. I definitely recommend buying alcohol for a good clean. My rag was dry but the packaging, even a small hole, would have dried the alcohol in an instant. Rule #1 You want it to stay clean, clear, and air dry with alcohol. Buy me they are great as far as I know. World and GO.GO.GALAXY!
