Not useful for pH testing - made me over-modify my soil.
This unit reported my soil was extremely alkaline so I added tons of acidifier to the soil and it said still my soil is alkaline. Finally, I placed the probes in pure Canadian spagum moss. Everyone knows that Canadian moss is very acidic. It is still considered almost 100% basic. The arrow didn't even move! Then I realized that this thing is totally incapable of measuring soil alkalinity or acidity. Now I have repaired my floor too much and need to fix it which will be a costly and long term problem due to a cheap device that misled me.
