I've been wearing sun hoodies for years and have several adult hoodies to compare. First, the fabric is a little thicker than the mainstream companies, but that's not a disadvantage as the thicker material doesn't snag as easily as my own thinner hoodies. The thicker material is not so heavy that the sweatshirt gets hot and also has amazing flexibility and elasticity. Second, the thicker seams ensure excellent reinforcement of all seams and edges. The seams are soft to the touch and hug the skin snugly without leaving hot spots or blisters. Third, the design improvements are well thought out for little ones, such as an additional button closure under the chin. This makes the hood tighter without annoying cords. In addition, the handbag/front pocket is convenient for little kids to use and store their knick-knacks while playing. This is a great product that my kids play with outside and feel comfortable and protected.
