Nice combo box set. I was initially hesitant to buy them instead of Starrett, but for the price I should have at least tried. If they didn't match the description I would just send them back as it was a prime purchase. Fortunately this was not the case. I cleaned and oiled both squares before checking their accuracy. I tested the 6" and 12" squares on my Kinex 875/1 machine square for 0.0005 and a pair of 1-2-3 blocks and both squares are accurate. I checked the inside and outside alignment with the blade, then removed the blade and checked the head for squareness. I also did a pencil test and both squares passed for one square. I tested the 45 degree angle with my Kinex protractor and both are absolutely accurate. I place the blades on the dressing table and both appear perfectly flat. I checked the rulers for accuracy with my Shinwa 12" 4R ruler and all the markings matched perfectly. I also checked the ends of each blade for squareness and they were fine. The gears and blades are pretty easy to remove and put back on install. Overall This is a great set square and a great deal. Update: The scribe is cheaply made. I was trying to remove it from a 12" square and the head came loose leaving the scriber stuck in the square. I deducted a star It's still a very good set of squares for the price but as some of the cheaper squares in the larger stores have much better quality pens I had to deduct a star.
