Review on Hampton Nautical CO 0902 CH Chrome Compass by Danny Lavimodiere

I have 2 and they are a bit different. They are heavier than I expected, don't feel cheap and don't look cheap. It's obviously a true heavy metal (not modern aluminum), although I'm not sure if it's copper. It has a faded, old vintage look and good color too. It's also functional. The top opens by pressing the top button and when I move so does the arrow and when I stop it adjusts to north every time. (For example, you need to make sure you're holding it flat in your palm and not upside down.) I was very pleased. Really doesn't scream china or cheap. However, it doesn't come in a big box. So if it's a gift, plan on getting another box that fits in.
