Review on Portable Magnetic Chess Set: Perfect for Traveling and On-the-Go Gaming by Chris Barreto

The set is compact, the parts are nicely arranged. They stick to the board very well along the back rows of the board, but *not* at all* in the middle two rows! There is a 1" wide center section where the board folds into a closed book shape; It doesn't seem to have a magnetic backing in that middle section (rows 4 and 5) so anything placed there won't stick. I don't know if it was just a manufacturing defect or a serious design flaw, but it makes it pretty much useless as a street kit in a moving vehicle. Too bad it was a nice little kit otherwise.
