Instructions mislist items and images of items are incorrect. It shows that several elements have two posts on each side when in fact there are three on a side. After putting it together and things didn't fit, we had to take it apart to fix it. Very frustrating. It really shouldn't be that hard to put together - it would have been a lot easier if the instructions had been correct. Now on to the product itself. These are strong, durable steps and also very attractive. My dogs don't mind the ups and downs at all. They are perfect for my bunk bed. I decided to keep them flat and perpendicular to the bed as they were taking up too much floor space in my room, so I placed them parallel to the bed, the bottom tier at the foot of the bed and the top tier near the middle of the bed. I thought this might be a problem as the dogs now have to turn around when jumping onto the bed from the top step, but that's not a problem. You got it right away. The descent was easy. You simply climb to the top step, then turn around and descend easily. I also like the slight incline of each step and the rough carpet on each step. Don't worry at all about slipping. We all love them!
