I bought this particular product because what I really wanted the most was white light, but I thought it would be pretty fun to have a whole range of colors to choose from. Unfortunately the white that is available on the remote is not the white of the light that I like and as such I plan to return this product. It's possible that non-standard colors can be made, and maybe I'll get exactly the white color I was counting on, but I've decided not to bother with this issue at all. Additionally, there are not as many 'bulbs' per inch compared to the same brand's common all white LED strips and therefore this product does not appear to be as bright as this brand's common solid white LED strips.
