Phone Bluetooth works and it's a great concept. Plugged in my iphone and was able to text to my mate's samsung. Sitting next to each other worked really well. Real city range was 1.5 miles at best, and only really reliable under a mile. It was in a flat, one-story urban setting. We bought walkie-talkies to try this way of communicating and it was fun and inspired new ideas. They are toys and have achieved this goal. I have background radio
