Review on πŸ”Œ Enhanced Connectivity and Precision – Introducing Generac UCT2 Smart Universal CTs in Sleek Black by John Stowers

This is the Generac version of the Neurio home energy monitor

Generac purchased Neurio Technology to add this stylish energy monitor to their portfolio of energy products. This is the same as the Neurio W1-Hem home energy monitor. I have a version of Neurio with an optional solar CT kit to monitor two lines, grid power and solar panel power. Branding has been updated on the website and phone app since Generac bought Neurio. their logo. I've attached a chrome image showing a beautiful May day, yellow is solar energy, blue is my usage which is mainly due to two 4 ton AC condensers running during the day to keep my 9200 sqft home cool. . In addition, the electric car Nissan Leaf charges a little in the morning. I've also added an image of last month's energy report showing a bar chart of total daily production (yellow bars) and consumption (blue bars). The lower part of the report shows the overall statistics for the day, ie on May 4th I produced 100kW from my array of 60 solar panels and consumed 40kW, so 60kW was transferred to the net meter balance. I use part of this loan in July and August. I love this device, I can look at the current usage in the phone app and see it change instantly as I turn something on and off, even a low power device like a lightbulb. .This shows 40 watts of phantom power at night, maybe from the moonlight? I doubt it, but it doesn't bother me. The support team never figured out this part. After about three years the device failed, there was no response at all, so I bought another one. Back then it was the Neurio brand. But I was very disappointed that I couldn't connect the new device (mac address etc.) to the history of the old device so I could continue to get lifetime usage reports. I wrote to support, they said it's not possible. Thus, data logging from the new device began. It doesn't really seem like such a big technological challenge that a new block starts logging the same set of data, does it? I understand equipment can fail, although 3 years seems a bit short I just accept that as bad luck. But it really should have a longer warranty, the Generac warranty is the same as the Neurio which is 1 year.
