The sole is sticky. It's good if your feet are wet and you're pulling the kayak up a boat ramp or on a slippery gravel pier. Falling is bad. :) But 7.5W is HUGE. I was able to slip my entire fingertip between the toe and the end of the shoe. I usually take 7 or 7.5. either M or W and it all depends on the shoe. This was much larger than the usual combination of 7/7.5 and M/W. But what was really wrong? Colour. It wasn't such a pretty medium blue, it was a very dark navy blue. Far from the color pictured which turned out to be medium blue.
