I do not recommend purchasing this item. Why do you ask? Although it's very easy to connect it to your phone via Bluetooth, you'll need to tune it to your radio station for it to work. Basically you need to tune this device to the radio station/frequency of your choice. But if you then tune the car stereo to the same station that this unit is tuned to, the music will NOT be heard or anything because your car stereo is tuned to the bluetooth device. My suggestion might be to tune it to a station you don't normally listen to, and then when a call comes in you have to tune to the station you've paired the device to. To be honest, it's counterproductive. The point of such a device is not to fidget while driving. Can't listen to your favorite radio station AND can't use this device? NO. Happen. Your other music options are CDs, your phone, XM, and anything that doesn't require a radio. There's a memory card slot for preloaded music if you choose to go that route. I have not used this part. And when you receive a call, you cannot use this device until you tune to any channel of this device that you have tuned it to. It really works if you follow these steps, so here's the thing. Unfortunately I bought it as a present for my father a few months ago and because of these broken mechanics he doesn't want it. I don't blame him. money thrown away.
