Absolutely beautiful pot. It is manufactured to the highest standards. It makes great tasting coffee. You get what you pay for. 10 cups is an interesting and somewhat unusual size suggestion, equal to two large cups of coffee. I asked my Croatian friend why his coffee is so good, much better than my old coffee maker. He introduced me to this world of moka coffee machines, also known as espresso coffee machines. It's not really espresso, it's coffee. My girlfriend was disappointed with her new coffee maker and I wasn't sure if she would match the style of the coffee maker. I bought her 10 cups, I went with Cuisinox, I saw it everywhere but didn't want to spend more than $100. When I opened it I was immediately impressed; it is just beautiful. It's very well made, the highest quality stainless steel, looks a lot nicer than the aluminum pots I use. It's also very well designed. If you open the lid to check while it's brewing, it won't spit all over the stovetop like my Bialetti pot does. Coffee enters the upper chamber nice and evenly. I think you know by now that cups weigh about 1.5 ounces, so 10 cups makes about 15 ounces of coffee, or about two tall cups/cups of coffee. The 6 cup teapot is ideal for one person's needs. The quality and beauty of this pot justifies its price. And it's made in China, but that's nothing to think about. The coffee maker is very well made... and the coffee it produces is simply delicious!
