Ok long story short I bought these pens from another seller half of them didn't work so thought I'd try again and buy from another seller who had a different brand. Spring. Out of 12 pins, 5 looked like they had already been used when I removed the caps. 3 of them give no outline effect. No matter what I did, I couldn't get the silver effect. I love those who work. I had these markers in the 80's. I will tell you that I tested them on thick mixed paper and they showed through all the other side. Not recommended for journaling. Ideal for posters/signs.
