I tried to choose between L and XL because I wear a size 14. I chose XL because the petticoat was so short according to other reviews. When I received the skirt it was very large. Since I was wearing this to a school event, I wore a pair of long shorts underneath. Thank god I was wearing shorts. In the middle of the evening I noticed that the entire side seam of the petticoat had come undone at the seam. Since I only wanted to wear the skirt to an event, I threw it away. However, if I wanted a skirt with multiple socks, I would be very upset about it. I gave the skirt three stars because the layers were cute and the color is so vibrant.
