Great way to carry your small pet comfortably

First a little note. this is the second one i got. The first had what appeared to be a small but "demonstrative" sewing error (a few wrong stitches that made it impossible to zip up properly). After I informed the supplier about the problem, he immediately sent me a replacement part and asked for information about the nature of the production defect with the intention of fixing it on his production line. I am happy with their response but was a little dismayed that the item was not assembled as a 'test' prior to shipping. (Unfortunately, this seems to be a very common practice in all walks of life these days. It's cheaper to replace a bad product so it's out the door than to have a process in place to ensure the bad product never goes away.) So my goodness The second part fits perfectly and seems to be very reliable. Now I have three cats in my house. One weighs 15 pounds, one weighs 7-1/2 pounds, and one weighs just over 6 pounds. I would be a little worried. perhaps wrongly so, but that would be my "internal reaction". that it might not be big or strong enough to carry my 15 lb male dog. In any case, he will be cramped in the "backpack" state. But for my other two. They have plenty of room in backpack mode and are more than sturdy enough to carry without having to worry about anything. Placed on the floor or table and fully opened, however, all three seem to LIKE. Yes. My 15 lb boy seems to want to spend most of his time in it. (Get it!) Check out my photo of the inside when it's (fully open) to get an idea of its relative size in relation to the host. As you can imagine, it would be a little cramped if the device was closed in backpack mode. On the other hand, look at the second photo where my little 6 lb girl is in. She has lots of space. It had a solvent odor when it arrived, but a few days of airing this smell quickly dissipated and I no longer notice it (although my cats may still catch a cue). about it since their noses are much more sensitive than mine). However, it doesn't seem to bother her. wear it. with one of my three cats inside. I feel comfortable enough. However my wife found it too heavy with my 15lb motor inside, again not surprising really. So I think this is probably best used on a cat or dog, maybe up to 12lbs, for optimal comfort for everyone involved. at the bottom of the main compartment when the device is worn as a backpack. It's pretty thin. I would advise them to include a thicker one. yes, heavier. a board with a softer surface (e.g. sheep's wool or similar). Something that is unlikely to buckle under the weight of a decently sized animal (it might even make me more comfortable with my big boy in it!). I'm thinking of doing something in my workshop to replace this. maybe a 1/8 inch piece of eucaboard with a covering sewn by my wife that fits over it and can be removed for washing. a small person, so I had to stretch all the straps to their maximum length to put on the torso. I don't think it was designed for muscular (much less fat) people or just taller people in general. If you are 5'7" or under and in good shape this will work for you, but if you are a tall man well over 6'0" the straps might be too short unless , you are ridiculously thin you. Luckily, they use fairly standard "latches" for the straps, and you can get extensions so at least the cross-chest and cross-straps can snap into place, allowing them to be adjusted properly for any body size. My last photo is of my little 6 lb girl in a carrier, on my back, leaning back a bit (to take a picture in the mirror) but you can see the carrier doesn't really suit me anyway. Adding belt extenders will solve this problem, but having longer belts won't make this a problem for everyone! One thing I really like is how much air it offers and yet the 'privacy lid'. on the back gives a sense of security when needed. (Having flaps on the sides wouldn't be a bad idea either, as long as they don't block airflow, but they're not essential!) Overall, I'm very happy with it. My only advice would be for the manufacturer to (1) increase the thickness of the "base plate", (2) increase the length of the straps (to allow for an adjustment to larger body sizes), and (3) make a slightly larger version for too create slightly larger animals. (Say around 15-25% more?) If you have a cat or small dog weighing up to 12 pounds and are not very tall themselves, this is perfect for you.
