In my perfectionism, I have been working with WLAN with my large Comcast router for years. But now that I'm old and nobody visits me all day, it's not so important that my home looks perfect. So I connect my computer in the bedroom and in the living room back to my router with a cable. Of course, the router is under my computer desk in my bedroom, so there's no problem with that cable. But the distance from the computer desk in my bedroom to the computer desk in the living room is not small, and that's why I tried this product. I don't see any performance change, other than of course my living room internet is now working better than if I had relied on WiFi. Enough of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and everything that depends on signals transmitted over the air; and enough Bluetooth devices that rarely work as promised unless they're too expensive. At my age I was plugging everything straight back in: headphones, computers, landline phones, etc. This product was definitely great value, didn't break the wallet at all and just worked well, and its dark color makes it unnoticeable, although I'm the rare one Visitors must warn not to trip over him as he walks from the kitchen to the living room.
