there is an angle to look at it from. So if you're looking at something in bed it won't work, but if you're sitting at a table or at a table it's perfect. It's lightweight and inexpensive. If you're traveling with it, it comes with a nice protective case, but even if it breaks or gets lost, it'll cost less than cinema admission. I love it. Great little purchase.
