Look I know it might not be the best but I think it's great value for money. This is my favorite motorcycle jacket, so I've ridden it about 3,000 miles since last season. I wear size XL and bought it as size XL and you know what? It fits perfectly! Anyone who has bought jackets online knows that they often do not fit well. I have an old heavy leather jacket for cold weather. This is for moderately warm to hot weather. Very well ventilated; a side effect is that it puffs up on the top of my chest and the little zipper keeps hitting my chin. Although it's not a problem for me. When it's 85-90+ degrees and riding short distances I usually forgo the jacket in favor of a leather vest and short sleeves. Not sure, I understand. I haven't had an accident so I can't say how effective this jacket will be, but I have a feeling I'll get all the protection possible under the circumstances. I removed the rear "armor" (I think it's polystyrene or something like the rest of the pads) to make it cooler. Also, there is no nylon lining; I don't think I've ever used it except once in the rain. I'm sweating too much from it. I think in cold weather with a heavy cotton shirt underneath it would be comfortable. I keep a balaclava and rain jackets in my saddlebag, just in case.
