I love these shoes! These are warm winter boots that are not as heavy as most winter boots. I would still wear a sock with these shoes. My other five toe shoes don't have laces, but these lace ups are fine and they stay tied. The tread is excellent and I didn't slip at all. I feel the ground more underneath me and in big winter boots I don't feel the ground as much. I still wear big boots when the snow is very deep, but for everyday winter boots they are fine. I have more than one pair of five-toe shoes, and my foot and leg muscles have adapted so well that they are so uncomfortable in regular shoes that I can barely wear them. When I put on regular shoes, my feet feel like they are in tight foot coffins. With five fingers, my toes are free to move and the other bones and tendons of the foot are not bound or suppressed.
