Review on ASICS Women's Gel Excite Running Shoes in Black - Optimized for Women's Footwear by Tony Jockheck

This is a real review. I've been wearing Asics for years. I noticed that they have been cutting the interior of shoes for the last 2-3 years. Unfortunately they are not that wide. Check out the picture where I compare the Gel Noosa Tri 9 to this shoe. Shoes are placed on the side. As you notice, Gel 4 is sewn tightly to the base of the shoe with a plastic construction. The Tri 9 doesn't have that, which makes the shoe give more at the widest part of the foot! If you're not concerned about the widest part of your foot, then there are no problems with these shoes! I have a moderately wide foot and it's a shame they didn't seed that plastic on the sides of the shoe. The color is very visible in the picture of the shoes lined up. My shoes were pre-laced and I loosened them considerably so that more could be given to the widest part of the foot. The length of the shoe is exactly the same as the Tri 9. I wear 81/2 shoes and 9 boots but I order Asics 10M shoes and the length is good because I hate the tight toe box. I rode 55 miles in these shoes and NO BLISTERS! ASICS is still my favorite shoe!
