In my drawing you can see that the blade locking handle is firmly attached to the shaft. I tried cloth-wrapped pliers on the exposed metal part of the handle and used my raw gorilla force to attempt to unscrew the handle. No love. Pay a little more and get one device that doesn't ship in dozens to keep shipping costs down. I will have problems with the return, because the packaging in the box was also bad and stuck to the device in places, which caused the plastic packaging to tear when unpacking.
