Although these pads are advertised for linear brakes I am currently using them on a bike with rim brakes (pivoting side brakes if you want specs) and so far they have worked she flawless. In terms of performance, these pads are definitely a big improvement over the stock pads they replaced. Also, these pads squeak a bit. I managed to bend them so they don't creak at all when new, but they actually get louder when broken. So far it's a soft squeak, not a banshee scream, which is scary.
