Review on 📻 Compact Philips AE1500 Portable Pocket Radio - Optimal for Easy Searching by Bruce Marable

What a great little pocket radio. Likes: 1) Clean and simple design. Nothing fancy, AM/FM select button on the right side, volume/on/off knob and settings. The headphones are top center and in the perfect spot with the stereo (!). The antenna goes straight up and down without rotating. 2) Even with two AA batteries, the device is still light. 3) AM/FM works fine, no bass, but with a 1" speaker () I don't expect high fidelity. All in all, this is my go-to AM/FM radio, especially considering the price. The only thing that could improve this for me is to remove the rib in the center of the speaker, I don't need anything optically. Well if there is tonal control. Since the radio is small, tuning requires some patience - there's no quick turning of the dial. I like that it's simple, no lights/LEDs, no dedicated dials to drain the batteries. Let's hope it's reasonably durable and has good battery life. Would definitely buy it again and can only recommend it.
