The soft collar is made of a hard material and after about 6 weeks I had to replace the collar as it was badly scratched from her scratches. The soft collar and large size allows her to eat, drink and walk with ease. If she catches him for anything, his softness will make it easy to break free. The price was good. I compared the price on the website to a similar product and it was the best price. My dog will have to wear a padded collar for a while until we can use safe wart medication. If your dog only needs to wear it for a short time, I think it works better than a hard plastic collar.
