I bought this to use with my Microsoft Surface Pro laptop as it only has 1 mini display port. The list is misleading as the title says "HDMI and VGA ports can be used simultaneously". Although this information is correct and you can see images on both monitors, it is not a true "Dual" configuration as only "MIRROR" indicates dual monitors. monitors so you end up with 2 monitors showing the same thing which is pointless. For my setup I could only render the laptop as a single frame and then both monitors showed the same whether I chose a mirror or extended the desktop. I believe this is because the adapter just "splits" the signal, meaning both monitors display the same thing, rather than a true dual screen adapter projecting two different images. If you're looking to get this for Mac, just know that Apple doesn't support the mirror-only extension, so you'll be disappointed with what you bought it for, despite the listing saying otherwise.
