I'm 54, 5-11 and 270 pounds (hopefully 250 soon) with wider hips (yes, Clydesdale). Now I race a custom Ti Seven Axiom (custom made for the guy I bought it from) with all the Ultegras. I rode 326 miles on the Ohio to Erie trail with another quality seat that was broken in (no problem on 20 mile practice rides) but after a long 4 day ride numbness developed in my right leg. Shorter trips after that did not solve the problem. I order the Terry Fly Ti Gel and it has been two months since my foot is back to "normal" after 20-30 miles of training rides. Hopefully it will hold up for long rides but I have to say it's very comfortable with just enough padding for a big boy.
